Health Mate aims to understand patients’ interactions with the online medical consultation app by exploring their healthcare needs, motivations for choosing virtual consultations over in-person visits, and the challenges they encounter in seeking medical care. This includes insights into their decision-making process for consulting a doctor, as well as any difficulties they face when booking appointments and obtaining prescriptions.
Many individuals, particularly busy parents , face significant barriers when accessing healthcare services. Traditional in-person medical appointments often come with long wait times, scheduling difficulties, and travel constraints. As a result, patients may delay seeking care, leading to potential health risks for themselves and their families. Furthermore, existing online consultation platforms may not provide an integrated and user-friendly experience, leaving users frustrated with complex navigation, limited features, and inadequate communication with healthcare providers.
We have developed an online medical consultation app aimed at facilitating access to digital healthcare services for patients. The app provides an easy-to-use interface that allows patients to consult with doctors from the comfort of their homes without the need to wait in clinics.
Additionally, the app features a dedicated pharmacy section where patients can order the medications they need and have them delivered to their homes, saving time and effort.
After figuring out the problems, thinking of solutions, and planning my next steps, it was time to learn more using different research methods.
